Not necessarily. Leaks can result from flashings that have come loose or a section of the roof system being damaged. A complete roof system failure, however, generally is irreversible and can be the result of improper installation or choice of materials or the roof system installation is inappropriate for the home or building.

All too often, roof system problems are discovered after leaking or other serious damage occurs. Periodic (twice-a-year) inspections often can uncover cracked, warped or missing shingles, loose seams and deteriorated flashings, excessive surface granules accumulating in the gutters or downspouts, and other visible signs of roof system problems. Indoors; look for cracked paint, discolored plasterboard and peeling wallpaper as signs of damaged roof areas.
You have two basic options: You can choose a complete replacement of the roof system, involving a tear off of your existing roof system, or re-cover the existing roof system, involving only the installation of a new roof system. If you’ve already had one re-cover installed on your original roof system, check with Preman Roofing. In many instances, building code requirements allow no more than one roof system re-cover before a complete replacement is necessary. For our residential clients, once we initiate work for a roof replacement, a 50% deposit is needed after we have done the tear off of your old roof. Upon completion of your new roof installation, the balance of the cost is due.
Commercial roof replacements need at least a 10% deposit to start the work. We will bill you in increments as the work progresses.

No. Once we initiate the contract, and after you complete the customer preparation list, you do not have to be here unless you want to when we are working on your roof.
Every job is supervised from start to finish. We have one main field supervisor and each job has a foreman. We care about the consistent quality of all our work and this extra attention to your job enables us to provide you with expert service from start to finish.

It is not in your best interest to do that. Some product materials have been known to have defects in them. Our team stays on top of industry information in order to eliminate use of materials like this. If you were to inadvertently purchase these on your own for use on your home, it could cost you much more than you ever expected. When a home owner wants to supply their own material, it is also easy to not have the right amount needed and Preman Roofing is unable to provide a manufacturers warranty on these self purchased products.

Preman Roofing has highly trained roof installation specialists and safety is a top priority to our company and our clients.
Maintenance performed by home and building owners should be confined to inspecting roof systems during the fall and spring to check for cracked or curling shingles and cleaning gutters filled with dead leaves and other debris. If you must inspect your roof system yourself, use a firmly braced or tied-off ladder equipped with rubber safety feet. Wear rubber-soled shoes and stay on the ladder (and off the roof system), if possible. Preman Roofing offers an inspection service if you are uncomfortable or unable to inspect your roof.
